Abraxas, Live in Bogota at the John Zorn Masada Marathon

Hey All,

We had a wonderful time performing at this year's Masada Marathon in Bogota, Colombia. Every performance was pure magic and inspiration, especially for me personally. Out of the several of these marathons that I've had the chance to participate in, this one was rather special. Getting to watch fellow Metaller's Cleric- with fellow Simulacrum member Matt Hollenberg- take the stage performing some of the Book III, Beriah material-which Abraxas is slated to track next year- and getting to genuinely hang out and break bread with some of the most prolific musicians to walk the planet these days, it was truly a magical and special event.

It had been four years since I was back in Colombia and it was refreshing to see that things are getting better, little by little. I hope this trend continues. While we were there, specifically the night of our concert, a massive LGBT pride parade was taking place that literally dwarfed the NYC pride parade in every conceivable way. We were awestruck while watching it, but relieved that the parade took place on our way to the venue.

This show took place at the Teatro Subsidio Roberto Arias Péres on October 4th, 2015.

I'm still editing drum instructional videos for myself and drummer Alex Cohen(Malignancy, Imperial Triumphant, ex-Pyrrhon) that should be appearing next year in Drum Mag, so I will hopefully have some news on that, as well as some new vids coming soon!

I will be doing some short, yet extensive travel this fall and winter with Dapp Theory, Abraxas, as well as our first outing with John Zorn's Simulacrum, featuring John Medeski on Organ, Matt Hollenberg on guitar and myself on drums. We will be doing some stateside touring so for more news on all of those developments, check out my various sites and pages!
