Boros outside the BTC struggle to preserve their language, cultural practices, and traditions due to limited institutional support and influence from dominant communities. Schools outside BTC often do not offer education in the Boro language, contributing to its decline in these regions. Boros face pressure to assimilate into the dominant Assamese or Bengali cultures, diluting their unique identity.
Schools in Boro-majority areas outside the BTC often lack proper facilities, qualified teachers, and adequate resources. A lack of Boro-medium schools makes it difficult for children to learn in their native language, impacting literacy and cultural transmission
