Join us on a trip to Sumatra to see how a process of continious, constructive social dialogue between companies and trade unions initiated with CNV Internationaal is leading to better labour conditions of workers at palm oil plantations and mills PT Murini Sam Sam / Wilmar and PT Darmali.
50% of the worldwide consumer goods contain palm oil. However, most workers do not earn a living wage, and many women that work on the plantations do not have a permanent contract. CNV Internationaal wants to use our knowledge and network of local unions to set up a social dialogue. We want to invite the sector to start a joint process for solving the issues, following the roadmap we have developed, involving all stakeholders of the value chain.
