Are you looking to pursue a career in nursing? Julie Kim-Proehl, Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions, can help you determine whether our traditional or accelerated program is right for you and how to make sure your application is as competitive as possible.
UB's Accelerated Baccalaureate of Science (ABS) in Nursing Program offers a second degree option for individuals with a bachelor's or master's degree in another discipline to obtain a bachelor's degree in nursing. This highly competitive program allows students to earn their nursing degree in 12 months.
UB's Traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is an upper-division program that consists of two years of prerequisite courses and two years of nursing curriculum. Students may apply directly to the nursing program (approved nursing major), typically in the spring semester of their sophomore year in college. Typically, this program is of interest to high-school students.
