We had a fantastic group trip to South Africa, staying in five different hotels throughout the journey. In Cape Town, we visited Century City, explored the iconic Table Mountain, enjoyed several refreshing morning hikes, and spent time at Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope. We also admired the penguins at Boulders Beach and experienced two wonderful winelands tours.
In Johannesburg, we continued our adventure with a visit to Sun City, where I enjoyed a remarkable morning walk surrounded by lush green landscapes. We went on a safari in Pilanesberg, spotting elephants, deer and many other animals. We had lunch in Soweto and were delighted by vibrant folkloric dances. We also visited Newtown and saw the prison where Nelson Mandela was once jailed. I also went to Pretoria using the Gotrain.
We explored several huge malls along the way, and our trip ended at Emperor’s Palace — a massive complex filled with a wide range of activities.
Overall, it was a very satisfying and memorable tour.
