About the Speakers:
Dr. Mark Pimentel is the worlds leading expert and researcher in the fields of IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), SIBO (Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth), IMO (Intestinal Methanogen Overgrowth), and other functional gut disorders. As head of the MAST-Pimentel Laboratory at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, he and his team work tirelessly to find a cure for gut motility diseases. Some of his remarkable contributions include: pioneering treatments for SIBO (including Rifaximin, the Elemental Diet and Prokinetics for prevention), creating tests (ibs-smart, trio-smart), and sequencing the small intestine microbiome.

Dr. Allison Siebecker has specialized in SIBO since 2010. She is the GastroANP 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award winner, teaches Advanced Gastroenterology at NUNM, co-created and was the former Medical Director of the SIBO Center for Digestive Health at NUNM, and is an award-winning author.
