XXIX CLUSTER MEET | SENIOR DEBATE | 2019-20

Hosted by IISJ, Interschool Debate Competition of XXIX Cluster Meet was organized on 23rd of October. Master Mazin recited the verses of Holy Quran which was translated by Musab Khan.
Headgirl of IISJ, Arpana Melanie addressed the gathering.
The seniors debated on the topic “Reservation system in admission and job in india should be abolished”. The FOR team stated that “Reservation systems awards undeserved seats to the backward castes and leaves a little or nothing for the general’’. The AGAINST team strongly opposed this statement by stating “Reservation system have done nothing but safeguard the rights and deserved opportunities of women and backward castes”. After the rebuttal round, the judges, Mrs. Sheeba Akhtar, Mrs. Jahseen Rizvi, Mrs. Samina Shamim and Mr. Anwar Bilgrami, decided the winners. Vice Principal of IISJ, Dr. Najeeb Qais felicitated the best speakers. After felicitating the winners, Assistant Literary secretary of IISJ, Tanzila Yusuf delivered the vote of thanks.
