Sportsnight started on BBC1 on September 19th 1968 as Sportsnight with Coleman. On the 18th January 1984 it reached its 500th edition. David Coleman who presented for four years and Harry Carpenter for ten years take a look back.
I've removed most of the football as UEFA seemed to be nit-picking on a daily basis.
