We Built an Outdoor Enclosure for Tortoises! Horsfield Tortoise Outdoor Enclosure

Discover how we built an outdoor enclosure for our Horsfield Tortoises (Testudo horsefieldi)! From demolishing a trellis to digging up dirt, this project took a lot of time, planning and planting!

As Horsfield tortoises, or Russian tortoise, are great at digging we had to be mindful of allowing them to safely demonstrate this behaviour both with safety of wiring under the enclosure to prevent them digging out as well as micro-chipping them!
