On May 5, 2025, Lacoste stepped onto fashion’s grandest stage for the very first time—the Met Gala. In honor of this year’s theme, Black Dandyism, the Maison unveiled a couture creation worn by the legendary Venus Williams. A bold, embodied silhouette imagined by Creative Director Pelagia Kolotouros, blending heritage, craftsmanship, and power.
From 30 meters of pleated fabric to over 100,000 hand-applied embellishments, the ensemble was a tribute to Venus’ legacy and to Lacoste’s evolving womenswear vision.
Also in attendance: Pelagia Kolotouros, in a custom-tailored suit crowned with a three-dimensional crocodile—an emblem of audacity and French savoir-faire.
