Fortress ruin on gypsum mountain in Sicily

On our way to Minoa Eraclea, my adventure buddy Larissa and I made a side trip to this fortress on an outcrop. Sadly I did not note the name or location. The small mountain appeared to be made of crystals. At the time I had no idea that it was gpsum, the same brilliant reflective stone the ancient city of Minoa had been constructed with. We got a fantastic view of the Sicilian hinterland. #sicily #explore #history
