Cited in Indore, Vitaan is a luxurious courtyard house, catering to a joint business family spanning 3 generations. The main entrance to the house is through a shaded deck floating above a water body, welcoming visitors and residents with joyful water fountains. Appending the deck, is a path to the floating temple, fronted by a lotus pond. The semi covered deck guides one into the main house along a lush front lawn overlooking a verandah seating. The residence, built in pink sandstone, is laid out along a central courtyard housing a semi covered private swimming pool. Living spaces are designed to capture views of the lively landscape in the interior as well as exterior of the house. Bedrooms, designed toward the periphery, are connected to their own private gardens, integrating interesting seating and landscape elements. The upper level of the residence accommodates a home theatre lounge flanked by bedrooms overlooking the pool below. Kadapa stone flooring, combined with earthy wooden furniture and pink sandstone walls lend the space a raw, rustic appeal. Combined with the flood of daylight and by natural cross ventilation, the house is successful in connecting residents with nature during their day-to-day activities.
