Very short clip. Just a demo of a project our club is working on. We are trying to use our club satellite station while fully remote. The video shows the actions and audio of me replying to a CQ call over RS-44 I did not make a contact...it seemed the doppler correction was going the wrong way...or nobody else was using doppler correction...I kept having to manually tune down. The important part, is it did transmit, and I did hear myself over the satellite. It is not anywhere near ready for prodution...but a summary is... two instances of "hub4com-2.1.0.0-386\com2tcp-rfc2217" to send that AZ/EL from the RT-21 via PC (USB to com port, then com port to TCP) over the club VPN to my home computer running two instances of com2tcp. For the radio, using "VA2FSQ Server" on that same remote PC to send radio data (Icom IC-9700) over same VPN to my PC running Win4Icom (V1.480). The rest of the home PC set up includes com0com (v3) with 3 com port pairs...two for the Az/El, and one from Win4Icom to SatPC32 (V12.10). There are lots of ways to do this, but due to network security concerns, we do not want to use a remote desktop...It would be a major architecture change to isolate that computer...that we also use inside the clubhouse for other radio activities and Satellite.
