January 20th 2025 the world lost one of the greatest guitarists to have ever picked up the instrument. I was asked to join Tygers of Pan Tang in 2013 and began studying John's guitar playing extensively. I wrote two albums with the band which were heavily influenced by Sykes guitar playing and song writing. Join me in this video when I break down some of my favourite licks and concepts that I picked up from John.
I'm using my Gibson R7 Les Paul fitted with @BKPickups Peacemaker pickups into a Hiwatt Custom Super Hi 50 amp head.
