IN THE NAME AND BY AUTHORITY OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA, PHIL ARCHER, STATE ATTORNEY, THROUGH THE UNDERSIGNED DESIGNATED ASSISTANT STATE ATTORNEY, CHARGES THAT:
COUNT 1: IN THE COUNTY OF SEMINOLE, STATE OF FLORIDA, on or about May 18, 2024, DAQUAN WATERS did unlawfully resist, obstruct or oppose Piero Rosasco, an officer of the Longwood Police Department, while such officer was in the execution of legal process or in the lawful execution of a legal duty without offering or doing violence to the person of such officer, contrary to section 843.02, Florida Statutes,
COUNT 2: IN THE COUNTY OF SEMINOLE, STATE OF FLORIDA, on or about May 18, 2024, DAQUAN WATERS, did willfully fail to or refuse to comply with a lawful order or direction of Piero Rosasco, a law enforcement officer, contrary to section 316.072(3), Florida Statutes,
AND against the peace and dignity of the State of Florida.
I hereby state under oath that I am instituting this prosecution in good faith.

In order to preserve and maintain the integrity of the governmental process, it is necessary that the identity, expenditures, and activities of those persons who regularly engage in efforts to persuade public officials to take specific actions, either by direct communication with such officials or by solicitation of others to engage in such efforts, be regularly disclosed to the people."
