This is our first living structure on the land that we constructed ourselves for less than five hundred dollars! Think about that... a home for UNDER 500.00!! It isn't luxurious, but it is functional. We have a simple 12v solar system that gives the ability to charge phones, cameras, etc., we have lights, running water, cooking ability, a bed, and of course a roof over our heads. We are blessed to live in a climate where you can actually live in something like this year round... and that is another reason for our move to Costa Rica. Fewer materials means less cost and less environmental impact. This is just the beginning for this shelter - we still have lots of ideas and projects under way, but we wanted to share our cabin so far and give you an idea of some possibilities for temporary structures on your land.
