A scene that has been permanently relegated to the history books - a locomotive change from Electric to Diesel for the 12007 Chennai - Mysuru Shatabdi Express at Bengaluru. Ever since the inauguration of electric traction on the Bengaluru - Mysuru section since over a month back, the Shatabdi continues with a Electric loco all the way to Mysuru. No change of traction is needed now. On this particular day, I was lucky to catch the Shatabdi coming in with a WAP-4 from Arrakonam #22793. The electric locomotive was detached and Hubballi's WDP-4B #40016 took charge for the run between KSR Bengaluru and Mysuru. Enjoy my last capture of the Mysuru Shatabdi with a diesel loco departing Bengaluru!
