Hello guys, today I am showing you how to fix a very common Toyota/Lexus automatic gearbox problem where there is a harsh downshift coming to a full stop (most commonly 3rd to 2nd and 2nd to 1st gear). We replaced the ECU/ECM and programmed the car without any obd2 scanners/tools. This method programs the keys too! If you have a car that has physical key you should put it in the key slot and turn twice (one click before car starts).
Steps for programming the ECU/keys:
1.Bridge ports 4 and 13 on the obd2 port using a paper clip or something similar.
2.Put key close to the start button. Press start/stop button twice without pressing the brake pedal (do not start the car) (If you have a physical key turn it twice to reach contact(don't start the car))
3.Wait for 30 minutes
4.Press start/stop button to turn off.
5. Remove paper clip
6.Start the car as normal
7. ENJOY!
Works on Lexus Gs300,Gs350,gs430,gs460,is250,is350 and various Toyota models.
