Take a quick walk with us as we leave the wonderful Victoria and Albert (V&A) Museum and head toward the South Kensington Station. It has been raining, but there are no worries here in this pedestrian subway – no umbrellas are needed here! As we walk through the subway tunnel, we will see information on the history of the District Line and the South Kensington station along with the distinctive brown and beige tiles. We will pass by a street performer on the way, which is why the actual sounds of the subway had to be removed from the video and non-copyrighted music added in. It will just take us a few minutes to stroll through the subway until we reach the stairs to the South Kensington Station entrance. The subway will also take pedestrians to the Royal Albert Hall and the Natural History Museum. This subway tunnel was used as an air raid shelter in WW2 and has even hosted fashion shows during Fashion Week! South Kensington Underground station is served by the District, Circle and Piccadilly lines
