Spectrum Internet wouldn't reduce my rate so I switched to Verizon - Verizon Vs Spectrum Speed

I've had Spectrum internet for a few years and noticed that Verizon had lately equipped our building for Fios High Speed internet.
I was curious.
I called Spectrum before switching to see if they would give me the 12 month special again, but they declined the request, even though I said that I would switch to Verizon if they couldn't give me the deal, especially because Verizon Fios had advertised faster service for a bit cheaper. Guess what I did?
