After 10 Years, I made my return to Cass Scenic Railroad in Cass, WV. Not only was it to photograph the beautiful color change of scenery & leaves, but it was to be able to test out and hear my newly acquired steam whistle, but not just any whistle, a Southern Railway Steptop Freight 3 Chime Top Lever! And what a joy, it proved rather well & sounded beautiful in the valley’s & the mountains. While all that, through the generosity of a good friend, and the blessing of the engineer, got to ride in the cab of Shay #2 up to Bald Knob & back down to the depot. Enjoy this footage of the climb up the mountain, and whistle audio coming back down the grade!
