Being a good wealth planner means going beyond the tax considerations - it is about listening to clients, generating trust and helping them to understand their goals.
This was according to Izzy Holgate, wealth planner at @lombardodier8422 , who said money conversations can be so emotional and complicated that financial planners need to be able to bring that empathetic ‘human element’ to wealth management.
Speaking to FT Adviser as part of our 51 for 51 series of interviews with women in financial services, Holgate said this was as true for the wealthy as for those with lower asset values.
