Welcome back to the remote Japanese countryside and as promised,here is part 2 of our spontaneous trip to nearby Yakushima island!

With just a few hours before our return ferry,we decided to make the most of our morning here and drive around the circular shaped island.

From a delicious bamboo leaf wrapped breakfast bento,to stunning waterfalls,freely roaming Yakushima monkeys and deer
and a stop at a beautiful beach,we packed a lot into our morning!

This trip was almost completely unplanned but that made it all the more fun!

We'll be back for sure as there's plenty more to explore such as the hike to the famous Jomon Sugi Cedar tree.
