Imagine a small child reaching for something that sparkles—a piece of broken glass glinting in the sunlight. To them, it looks like a treasure, something beautiful and worth holding onto. But the loving parent gently pulls their hand away. The child resists, cries, maybe even feels betrayed, unable to understand why something so appealing is being taken from them.
Or picture a puppy straining against its leash, desperate to run toward the busy street, chasing after something it desires. The owner firmly holds the leash, guiding the puppy away, keeping it safe—even though the puppy doesn’t understand.
We are that child. We are that puppy.
So often, we think we know exactly what we need, exactly where we must go to find happiness, love, or success. But what if the things we chase, the things we desperately cling to, are not truly meant for us? What if they would only bring pain, struggle, or keep us from something far greater?
There is a force—call it the universe, destiny, divine guidance—that sees beyond what we can see. It knows the right path, the safest way, the road that leads not just to what we think we want, but to what will truly fulfill us. When we resist, when we fight, when we try to force our way, we create struggle. But when we trust—when we surrender to the hands guiding us—we are led somewhere even better than we imagined.
This meditation is about letting go of the need to control. It is about releasing the belief that you must know every answer, every turn, every outcome. It is about stepping into faith—faith that you are being led, faith that you are protected, and faith that your desires are already unfolding in the most perfect way.
As you listen, allow yourself to soften. Let go of resistance. Trust that, just like the child or the puppy, you are being gently and lovingly guided toward exactly where you are meant to be.
