It's 12 miles from Downtown St. Louis and it's also very centrally located in St. Louis county. If you want charm, convenience, and history, consider living in Kirkwood! It's got beautiful neighborhoods, tons of character, and an awesome downtown area. Downtown Kirkwood has a small town feel and a historic district along Argonne Dr and Jefferson Ave which is a must see if you're in Kirkwood. You'll find shops, restaurants, and cute locally owned boutiques. Kirkwood also has different types of homes and neighborhoods. You'll see historic victorian and tudor style homes that go back to the 1800's and you'll see newer custom homes, modern farmhouse style and colonial style. Kirkwood has townhomes and condos that range in size and price, and a few luxury condo buildings that were recently built.
