Hi Everyone!
I just want to share my semi-historical version of Sophie's dress from the movie Howl's Moving Castle. I did a little research on what era I should go for this project. The movie kinda have this early 20th century vibe to it and it was greatly inspired by a place in Colmar, France. This is what led me to look into the Belle Epoque fashion. I would say that there's also a little bit of Edwardian Era influence in this.
Just a disclaimer, I'm not a Historical Fashion expert but I do know that there are a lot of pieces missing in my undergarments if I was trying to portray an accurate Historical version of this. They were originally a part of my plan, but there were a lot of reasons why I opted not to include them. I talked about this in a separate video, but I'm still contemplating whether I should post it.
