In what could be something only limited to the premium runners in the route, the Chennai Mysuru Weekly Superfast pulls off a rare feat with a sound thrashing of not one but two prominent daily trains of the Bengaluru Mysuru route.
Overtakes on the Mysuru Bengaluru Route are rare when it comes to normal non premium Express and Superfast trains with mostly these being sent back to back on either side rather than one being allowed ahead except on rare occasions like heavy delays and all.
Only a select few trains have official overtakes between Mysuru and Bengaluru and that also is not guaranteed to happen every time.
Video 1 - Chennai Mysuru Weekly Superfast Express overtakes the late running Tirupati Chamarajanagar Express at Bidadi. This was actually unexpected as the Tirupati Express was supposed to arrive ahead and there was a good chance for it to be allowed ahead and make us crawl behind. Kudos to the controllers in this regard for treating a Superfast like a Superfast and giving precedence.
Video 2 - Chennai Mysuru Weekly Superfast Express on the hunt for its next and this time its regular victim, the Talaguppa Mysuru Express. I thought they would setup the overtake at Yeliyur but that didn't happen as we slow down
Video 3 - Finally after a long crawl, the 22682 gets rid of the Talaguppa Mysuru Express at Naganahalli on the outskirts of Mysuru and cruises towards its destination thanks to the tremendous slack time of the 16228 which also easily managed to enter Mysuru perfectly on time despite the overtake.
Thank You for Watching ☺️
