This is a 16 minute long read aloud of a classic Disney book, The Little Mermaid: The Story of Ariel. This book follows the original Little Mermaid movie that we all know and love. My kids are just starting to enjoy the underwater adventures of Ariel and her friends, Flounder, Scuttle and Sebastian. I grew up watching this movie, and I'm soo glad that my kids are enjoying it as much as I did. Ariel was my Disney princess of choice back in the 90's!
King Triton's youngest daughter, Ariel, has made up her mind about the merworld. If she could have it her way, she would live on land and walk amongst the humans. In fact, she's so distracted by her fascination of humans that she misses an important event and royally upsets her father, the King. When she falls head-over-fin for a handsome prince, Ariel has to decide how badly she wants a human life, and how much she's willing to pay a wicked sea witch to get it... Read along with us and find out if Ariel stays mermaid, or chooses a human life with a shot at marrying a handsome prince and living happily ever after.
