Going through our archives, while creating the Heartspring history documentary 85 Years: A Legacy of Hope, we came across this promotional video for our residential tour program.

Produced in the late 1980s for the Alpha Iota Sorority (a longtime supporter of Heartspring), this video gives us a glimpse into the past and what it was like on our previous campus.

Heartspring has been a leader and innovator in services for children with special needs and their families since it was founded in 1934 as the Institute of Logopedics. While the organization’s face and name have changed over the years, its dedication to the mission of helping children with special needs find greater independence has remained constant.

Over time, the organization has grown and evolved to meet the ever-changing challenges of children locally, regionally, and nationally. Today, Heartspring provides a wide range of services and therapies through several programs including the Heartspring School, Pediatric Services, and Autism Services.

Located in Wichita, Kansas, Heartspring is a leading provider of services and therapies for children with complex needs and developmental disabilities. We offer a residential and day school, pediatric services, and autism services.
