Today's daily update video from South Africa is on 26 July 2025. We begin today's video with a car upside down on its roof on the M19 near Pinetown, South Africa. Then, a fire in Nelspruit was seen from the Crossings shopping centre. The beautiful Otter hiking trail along the Bloukrans River. We have lunch at The Shed and Silo in Benoni. Then we stand on Bothas Hill, in KZN, during the Amashova Cycle Race. Stay over at Marloth Park near the Crocodile Bridge Gate of the Kruger National Park. Table Mountain as seen from Big Bay in Cape Town. Robberg as seen from the Beacon Island Hotel in Plettenberg Bay. Then, whale watching at Uvongo, and we'll show more of South Africa.
A strong high-pressure system is moving in behind a cold front, bringing icy air across much of South Africa, with temperatures expected to reach Gauteng Province by next week; Monday. Residents can brace for frigid mornings throughout the interior, accompanied by widespread frost. Along the southern and eastern coastlines, strong winds are anticipated, making conditions feel even chillier. Scattered showers are likely along the south coast, while the northeastern interior may experience isolated showers and thunderstorms. Additionally, light snow is possible tomorrow, on Sunday, over the northern high ground of the Eastern Cape Province. On a different note, starting Sunday, bergwinds will introduce warmer weather along the West Coast. At the same time, the southern coast of Namibia will also see a temperature increase due to the influence of the ooswester.
Stay warm and prepared for the changing weather conditions ahead!
