Today, I had the divine opportunity to attend Shri Hari Vayu Stuti Purashcharana at Shri Prasanna Anjaneya Swamy Temple, Kathriguppe, Bengaluru. 🙏🙏
Shri Hari Vayu Stuti, composed by Shri Trivikrama Panditacharya, holds immense spiritual importance in the Madhwa (Dvaita) tradition. This sacred stotra glorifies Lord Vishnu (Hari) and Vayu Deva (Lord Hanuman), emphasizing their eternal supremacy and the guru–shishya parampara central to Madhwa philosophy.
Performing or participating in Purashcharana is considered highly auspicious. It involves disciplined chanting with devotion, faith, and adherence to prescribed rituals. Such spiritual practices are believed to purify the mind, strengthen bhakti, remove obstacles, and invoke the blessings of Vayu Devaru, who is revered as the greatest devotee and servant of Lord Vishnu in the Madhwa sampradaya.
The serene atmosphere of the temple, collective chanting, and devotion of all participants made this spiritual experience deeply uplifting and fulfilling. Grateful to be part of this sacred tradition and to receive the divine blessings of Shri Hari and Vayu Devaru.
