One peculiar beauty of the Indian culture is of #AtithiDevoBhavah, which translates to "Guest is Equivalent to God". Each time we have anyone visit, we always serve them first with a humble glass of water cooled in a clay pot. The cresent is the depiction of the warm abode which the host creates for her visitor, each time, every time.
That is a small understanding of why this design. So enjoy the creation of one of my really prized posessions.
