Today, I took my grandson on a walking tour of the historic Haight Ashbury neighborhood of San Francisco, CA. In 1967, hippies, from all over the country and the world, came to the neighborhood to celebrate what became known as The Summer of Love. Hippy history is still celebrated here today, more than 50 years later.
We had vegan pizza at Bizza, found the former homes and apartments of Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and The Grateful Dead and I enjoyed a personal trip down memory lane.
