Winger vs Anderson - When Good Christians Oppose Bad Christians for Dangerous Reasons

Mike Winger recently put out a video opposing Steven Anderson's teaching that homosexuals should be killed. This is great, I guess. But why does he oppose Anderson? What are the implications of his reasons, and what do they mean for the conversation? I would suggest that, while it seems like he's trying to say the right thing on the surface, Winger is not only corrupting the discussion with the typical "love the sinner, hate the sin" line but corrupting the entire basis of the conversation and giving Anderson the very foundation he needs upon which to justify hate and calls to violence.
