I've wired this up but just to test it works ok. I'm still waiting for the correct strings for a lap steel which is tuned to C major.
I've planed, scraped and sanded it all down and started on the oiling process. It's having four coats and it'll be rubbed back down using wet sandpaper and then I'll apply restoration wax which will be buffed until it shines.
So the next episode will be where the funs at. Can't wait until I assemble it all, get it tuned correct and have some fun learning how to play lap steel. David Gilmore from Pink Floyd is one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to slow bends and feel. He's an awesome lap steel guitar player and frequently used them to record tracks and albums
