‘부모를 부양하는 마지막 세대이자, 자녀에게 부양받지 못하는 처음 세대’라는 뜻이지요. 끝나지 않은 부모봉양과 가방 끈이 긴 나이든 자녀들의 학비를 대는 이중부양의 의무를 짊어진 사람들이 지금의 신중년들이겠습니다.
There's another name for being born in the '60s: macher generation.
It means "the last generation to support their parents, and the first generation to not be supported by their children." Today's new seniors are the ones who shoulder the dual burden of supporting their parents and paying for their older children's schooling.
