Having a smart horse... it is not always a good thing... haha. Yes, we all know that similar training on the same place may the horse to learn the place and predict the moves, what do not end up always on what we are looking for...
Solo, for example, sometimes just breaks the canter in the same spot in the arena. He predicts when we are going to do a leg yield and so on...
So today, we decided to go to the open field behind the dressage arena and practice specific techniques over there... mainly the canter. Which, by the way, was amazing even in those moment were we didn't recorded.
We used the obstacles to practice the bending in both directions and have him thinking on what he was doing.
It was a great practice, Solo was focus on what we were doing, and the most important... we had a ton of FUN!!!
