Salvaging a Day - Lake Hopping in Northern California

I think all three of us were pretty optimistic about our chances to catch some decent Smallmouth as we were heading to the lake. Lake Siskiyou is a beautiful spot in Northern California we some great Smallmouth and we thought they would be somewhere in the PreSpawn or Spawn stage. After searching we found some really nice fish but after 6 hours, we just couldn't get them going. So, we made the decision to hop lakes and head to Lake Shastina, on the other side of Mt. Shasta to wrap up our day. Even though the fish were not huge, it was a great decision. Between the 3 of us we easily caught 100 fish in about 5 hours.
