Celebrating Zen Master Thcih Nhat Hanh,Thay's 94th continuation day.

This chant was written for Plum Village community and Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.
The monastics tradition usually chant the phrase "Namo Valokiteshvara" for 20 minutes.
This is a chant to invoke the name of the Boddhisattva of Great Compassion, Avalokiteshvara.

A boddhisttva is a great being who has developed human qualities to a very high degree.
We each have a boddhisattva of compassion within us, and this chant is an opportunity to get in touch with that seed of compassion in our hearts, to invite it to manifest right in the very moment of chanting.

Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva represents great love, great compassion and deep listening.

Immerse yourself in the sound.
Free your mind from daily chatter and create an atmosphere within yourself and around you to nourish the seeds of love, compassion and deep listening within you by practising chanting.

May the energy of the Bodhisattva of Great Compassion continue to embrace our Teacher, our community and all those who face difficult moments during this time"
