POV exiting I-255 for gas at Love's on Mousette Ln. on IL side of St. Louis metro area on 11/15/25

This shows a dashcam driver view of exiting I-255 at Mousette Lane to get gas at a Love's Travel Stop on 11/15/25 on the Illinois side of the greater St. Louis metropolitan area. The actual city this is in is Sauget, IL which has a population of under 150 and was incorporated mainly because of the perceived (or likely actual) inability of East St. Louis to provide adequate municipal services. Unlike the vast majority of US metro areas which have a beltway with the same number all the way around, in St. Louis there are 2 different numbers for the beltway, I-270 on the west and north mainly in Missouri, and I-255 on the east and south mainly in Illinois. The Illinois side is often referred to as Metro East. Although the video doesn't show it very well, this Love's is virtually the only business at this exit--it appears to me that development was predicted for this area but the projected development never materialized. Also, our travel all along I-255 on this day showed very little traffic on an unseasonably warm November Saturday with a daily high of over 75 degrees and lovely sunshine.
