To summarize it, AWS lambda @ edge is a provisional feature by Amazon Cloudfront that helps us to run or execute our code closer to our customers that can help us reduce latency and increase performance.

But don't think that you won't get the same features as AWS lambda,
For sure you will, Yes with Lambda@Edge as well, you don't have to provision or manage infrastructure in multiple locations around the world.

And just like in AWS lambda you don't pay for the servers, here as well You pay only for the compute time you consume and there are no charges that are applied to you when your code is not running.
