Sprint Technique and Clean Technique: Why Clean Technique Matters to Sprinters and Jumpers.

Why Does a Correct Clean Technique Matter to a Sprinter and/or Jumper? Well, I try to sculpt an answer for that here in this video. I also elaborate on sprint technique a little deeper than before, or in a slightly different context than in previous videos. I also discuss anatomy and how a sprinter/jumper uses it, as well as some important REFLEX issues dealing with our anatomy. Our body's have many reflexes all over the place. Some are not so good for sprinting and jumping, but some are, in my opinion, vital for correctly utilizing in order to create optimal movement patterns and technique of the event(s). A reflex is something the body does naturally, without having to teach it ... a lot of our faulty techniques are literally folks trying to do too much and getting in the way of, or mucking up, their own good reflexes. In a lot of instances, as coaches we're trying to strip away the bad cues, or baggage techniques, of former coaches, and trying to get the athlete back to the reflex movement patterns they knew back when they were little kids. I hope I've been able to communicate that in this video.

This is my longest video by far, and I've crammed a lot into it. Eventually I might start narrating these things rather than using the scrolling text, which will probably shorten up the videos quite a bit ... but until then, happy reading. iMovie still has some annoying little glitches in it, for instance, I tried to change the word that appears as "facial" in the very first paragraph to "fascial" numerous times, but every time I exported the movie it kept changing it back to facial... which is why I use some longer word combinations instead of fascia, later on in the vid. I'm sure there are some other misspellings or grammar errors still left in the video, but alas, I am sick of editing. Any constructive comments or feedback are welcome.
