First Step to Building a Home Ourselves (We've Never Done This Before)

This week we are taking a huge step... Clearing the land for our future house (that we are building ourselves). Our amazing friend (and inspiration) Biata ‪@SimpleLivingwithBiata‬ shows us how to use a chainsaw, fell trees, and buck logs safely (and hopefully without disaster). All in preparation to break ground on our home build in the near future.

We’re Colin and Paige. After years of living life on the road, we’re ready to settle down and create a home base of our own. Honestly… we’re getting a little too old to be crashing at our moms' places (sorry moms). And because the housing market is a little too out of reach, we've had to get creative.

With zero building experience, a tight budget, and just enough confidence to get started, we’re diving headfirst into building our first home — completely by ourselves.
