I show how to start out from dock with a single seat always peddling into the wind which is southerly. Heading out to the channel on a windy day on Reynolds channel in Long Beach, NY. You better be fit to run this buggy. When going against a strong wind is just like going on a steep incline on a bicycle. But once you catch the wind its like a water ride. Video recorded with GoPro Hero2. If you just want to kayak, remove the outriggers and sail. Coordinate the pedals with the oar and you can fly.
I can't see putting anything attached to deflect the waves from splashing, that's the fun part.
