Episode 1: Get by With a Little Help from my Friends - Where has Calico Skies Sailing been??

This video was difficult to make. After nearly 23 years together Grace and I are separating. This is sad and a distinct end of a chapter. Maybe a chapter is inadequate, it's more like the end of a book. We have been together since we were 19 years old which is more than half our lifetime. Grace is much more than just my sailing partner, we met as kids and truly grew up together. From graduating college, passing the CPA exam, starting careers in finance, buying a sailboat and eventually choosing to leave it all behind to choose adventure

This is my new channel where I will continue the story aboard Calico Skies, but with a fresh perspective, new adventures, and the same passion for sailing, discovery, and storytelling that has always been at the heart of our journey.

Although sad, I also have pride in all that we accomplished and built together. We sailed 30,000 plus miles and visited over twenty five countries. We have had so many amazing shared experiences and made great friends during our journey together. Including the community built ‪@CalicoSkiesSailing‬ !

Thats where the story resumes, after completing emergency repairs on Calico Skies after grounding on a reef, I join my friends on ‪@svdelos‬ to start healing in the company of great friends! I get to check out the new Delos 2.0 build as well as sail a 1,000 miles on my child hood dream boat, the Amel Super Maramu!
