So here it is! Today, 30 November 2014, is my last day as an active duty United States Marine and to celebrate this is my very last performance with a Marine Band. This was the closer for our set every time we played and these are fitting songs to exit the Active Duty with, "All These Things That I've Done" is such an introspective piece and "It's the End of the World as We Know it" pretty much sums up where I'm at in my life, especially because I do feel fine. Listening to this for the first time with fresh ears after a few months I can honestly say that the sound quality and performance (particularly the vocal performance) is a bit shoddy, but the emotion and energy are there and they are forever stamped on my psyche. So, performed and recorded live on Sunday, August 3rd 2014 at Genesse Park, Seattle WA, as part of Marine Week Seattle/Seattle SeaFair 2014, here are the last two songs of my final performance as a Marine Musician.
