Friday Night Funkin' is an open-source rhythm game first released as a demo in 2020 for a game jam. The game is developed by a small group called The Funkin' Crew Inc., with the four founding members being the Newgrounds users Cameron "ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r. The game shares some gameplay features with Dance Dance Revolution and PaRappa the Rapper and borrows aesthetic influences from Flash games. The game has been credited with driving users back to Newgrounds, a site whose popularity peaked in the early 2000s.

Friday Night Funkin' D-Sides, also called D-Sides Remixes, is a remix-overhaul modification of Friday Night Funkin', created by DastardlyDeacon, where D-sides variants of characters from the original game and the Modding Community, as well the musics, are featured.

Doki Doki Literature Club! (DDLC) is a 2017 freeware visual novel developed by American independent game studio Team Salvato for Linux, macOS, and Windows. The game was initially distributed through itch.io, and later became available on Steam. The story is told from the perspective of a high school student who reluctantly joins the school's literature club on the insistence of his childhood best friend, and is given the option to romantically pursue three of its four female members. Doki Doki Literature Club! features a non-traditional plot structure with multiple endings and unlockable cutscenes with each of the main characters. Although the game initially appears to be a lighthearted dating simulator, it is in fact a metafictional psychological horror game that extensively breaks the fourth wall.

VS Monika.EXE: OUTDATED is an FNF mod that attempts to take the flawed concept of Monika.EXE & execute it in a more acceptable manner. Starring the parody character known as MEXE, you (MC) are sent to dispose of her after being sent by a familiar third party.
