At the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Palm Beach we were invited to an exclusive invitation-only event with Ford Performance where they closed down the thrill ride hot lap track to allow us to meet with the Ford Performance Mustang Mach 1 design team executives and to test drive this new sixth generation Ford Mustang Mach 1.
They also invited us to receive hot laps around the track with the ford performance racing drivers as well.
After a 17-year hiatus and remember there was no gen 5 Mach 1 since 2004, this fifth version of the Mach 1 which ford introduced back in 1969 uses the current Ford GT's 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine.
This engine in the Mustang Mach 1 is tuned to 480 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque the Mach 1 truly is a track car with personalization of performance.
