I sat down with some friends to discuss the disconnect between Africans and African American people. What are the root causes of the divide, is there even a divide in the first place. How has being teased during childhood for being African affect the way Africans view other black Americans? How can we start to bridge this gap and heal? We want to hear your side of the story as well! Be sure to drop a comment if there is anything that we missed.

I created this platform to give black millennials an opportunity to share their stories, giving them an active role in reaching solutions through open conversation by people with different experiences and ideas. We are creating a welcoming environment for our people to have those difficult conversations among ourselves about ourselves. We live through our stories, we heal through sharing our stories, and we learn from the stories of our brothers and sisters. By connecting open-minded people from different places, education levels, and ideals I am hoping we can gain a new perspective on things that matter. Opening the dialogue is the first step to healing, and this is that space.
