ST11 - DEBRA BARTO MEMORIAL SKATEPARK - Tulalip, WA

Debra Barto Memorial Skatepark in Tulalip, Washington is slept on. I rarely hear this park spoken about, and yet it has a good balance of all types of features and sizes. It's certainly a type of park that most skaters would have a great time at, especially since it has such a good variety of street and transition elements.
Shoutout to the skateboarder at SeaSk8 that formally requested that I skate this park for my next episode in the series. Little did I know, it was exactly what I needed. It was a fairly hot summer and it was really nice to have the wind blow through the skatepark from the Puget Sound to cool me off, even if it did make my camera microphones spazz. A lot of tricks went down for this episode and I definitely needed all the cool air I could get! Some of my favorite tricks from this episode was a Heelflip off of the most iconic thing at this park, a couple tricks I sort of made up on the spot (maybe I was inspired subconsciously, ABD??) and a pretty clean Tre Flip up the Euro gap. I also finally hit the handrail at this park, which is a good feeling knowing that a couple years ago when I came to this park for the first time with my friends Jacob and Kaden, I was absolutely terrified to even look in the direction of the rail.
For this stop, I take you around this skatepark to give you a tour over a two day period, and towards the end I take the camera vlog-style into the city to meet up with my old friend Raphael and skate some new features at the Build On The Block at Cal Anderson Tennis Courts in Capitol Hill.
